BURSAR’S DEPARTMENT WINS THE SECOND PLACE IN KIK
The Hijrah Group made up of the Bursar’s Department Staff has won the second place in the UPSI Innovative and Creative Group Convention (KIK) which was held last November 2009. This group is represented by Pn. Wahidanoor Wahid (Assistant Bursar) as the Facilitator, En. Nazrul Nazri (Assistant Accountant) as the team leader, Pn. Hashimah Abu Hashim, En. Reezal Ismail, Cik Norazlin Mohd Yusoff, En. Fazley Termizi and Pn. Idayu Mastura Abdul Rahman. The title presented by Hijrah Group is “Prolonged Hours Overtime Claim Payment” has successfully attracted the juries’ interest and the team has won RM 500.00 and certificate of appreciation for each participant. The presence of this KIK group provided a lot of benefits to the Department and staff especially in terms of teamwork, courage in expressing opinions, enhancing computer skills and the time management skills among members, dispelling the negative attitude and low self-esteem and also the ability to produce brilliant ideas.
The Hijrah Group has succeeded in qualifying to participate in the IPTA’s Innovative and Creative Group Convention (KIK) in February 2010 at USM Kubang Kerian, Kelantan. The Bursar’s Department hoped that this group will present its best performance in the convention and thus will uphold UPSI’s name in the IPTA’s level.
