1. Complying with the Ministry of Higher Education policy which stipulates that every student who wishes to apply for the PTPTN loan must have savings in SSPN accounts, the Bursar’s Department has informed that UPSI staff can make salary deduction to increase their SSPN account deposit.
2. The followings are the information needed to be taken into consideration before the application for salary deduction application can be made:
Salary deduction can only be done to the officer/beneficiary who already possesses SSPN account. If the officer/beneficiary has yet to own an account, they should open SSPN account. The form for SSPN account opening is available at the Bursar’s Department. Meanwhile the process of account opening should be done in banks / Deposit Collection Branch Agents which are Agro Bank, Bank Simpanan Nasional, Bank Rakyat, BIMB, CIMB and Maybank.
Each application should be attached with a copy of SSPN Account Card and the completed form should be submitted to the Payroll, Study Leave and Ticketing Unit. Forms and detailed information is available at the UPSI Bursar’s Department or in the website http://www.ptptn.gov.my.
Minimum amount of salary deduction is RM 20.00 per month.
3. It is hoped that this method will assist UPSI staff to have fix savings without dealing with SSPN collection agent or PTPTN counter. For inquiries or further information, please contact Mr. Nazrul Nazri / Miss Rohayu at extension 6651 / 6952.
