Diploma in Education Programme (DPLI) Allowance

With reference to the letter from the Teachers’ Education Department (BPG), Ministry of Education (MOE), the payment of allowance for Diploma in Education Programme (DPLI) is similar with the previous payments paid to all trainees based on the letter from Teachers’ Education Department (BPG) reference no. KP (BPG) 9606/1/Jld. 11(4) dated 25^th April 2007, paragraph 3 of the letter stated that:

1.  The monthly allowance for each trainee is RM 1,336.71
2. The allowance will be paid to trainees in the beginning of the month
3. Students attendance is compulsory and should be signed daily
4. The calculation for the payment is as follows: for example if a student registered on 15^thJanuary 2007, the payment of trainees allowance is calculated

The allowance payment is made based on the list of the trainees who submitted the agreement forms to the BPG.

The UPSI Bursar’s Department has made payment of allowance to the July 2009 session DPLI students for July and August amounting of RM 2,630.30. The 2 months allowance payments were short of RM 43.12 because the trainees registered in UPSI on 2 July and the study period was less than a month. Therefore the calculation of the allowance is based on the Matter four in the MOE’s letter as stated above.

For other universities where the DPLI trainees obtained full payment for July are due to the date of registration in the university which was on 28^th June 2009. Therefore those trainees in those universities were eligible for a full allowance in July but not eligible to be paid allowance for three days in June.
