Message From The Bursar

 

Alhamdulillah, all praise and glory are for Allah S.W.T., with His blessings and guidance the Bursar’s Department has succeeded in developing this new website. This website acts as the main medium of communication between the Bursar’s Department and its clients.

 

The website is developed as a medium of reference on financial services provided by the UPSI Bursar’s Department for its clients. This is in line with its vision to become the leader of an excellent University’s financial management in providing incomparable financial and accounting services while at the same time realizing the University’s vision and mission.

 

The Bursar’s Department provides financial services for its clients which made up of staffs, students and suppliers. We are committed in being a unique and excellent department in continuously providing a quality financial administration and management for university to achieve satisfaction among the clients.

 

In line with the latest information and communication technology development, the staff in the Bursar’s Department possesses a high competency in performing tasks related to ICT development. As a proof, this website was developed by the Bursar’s Department expertise which had won the first place in 2002, 2003, and 2007 UPSI website competitions. The Bursar’s Department had innovatively introduced on-line financial management via the UIMS-FIS Financial System including the overall financial process.

 

As a result, the Bursar’s Department has been awarded as the winner of the Perak Best Financial Management Quality Award 2008 and second place for the Perak Public Services Innovations Award 2009 (Change of Procedure Category). The three (3) innovations introduced by the Bursar’s Department have been requested by the Secretary General of Federal Treasury of Malaysia to be tabled in the Cabinet Special Committee Meeting of the Government Management Integrity chaired by the Prime Minister. The innovations are online petty cash management, overtime and travelling/miscellaneous claims.

 

The Bursar’s Department will continuously provide the best services to its clients and introduce more innovations in easing their transactions. We strongly anticipate useful feedbacks from clients regarding the service rendered. All clients can provide feedbacks regarding the standard of our services on-line in the Complaint /Feedback in this website. The input provided will be taken into consideration to enhance our services.

 

Last but not least, the Bursar’s Department will be always committed in providing the best services to its clients. I hope that the Bursar’s Department staff will give their continuous commitment to ensure that this department will remain excellent, glorious and distinctive in improving the level of financial management quality as to achieve satisfaction among the clients.
