The history of the establishment of the UPSI Bursar’s Department began as early as the establishment of UPSI in July 1997. En. Yusof bin Semahil, Deputy Bursar of Universiti Putra Malaysia, Terengganu Branch has been seconded to UPSI to establish the UPSI Bursar’s Department.

Reappointment as Institutional Zakat Amil
The Center for Waqf, Endowment, Zakat, Khairat, and Sadaqah (WEZAS) has been reappointed as an Institutional Zakat Amil by the Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk), effective from May 1, 2024, to April 30, 2026. This reappointment signifies MAIPk’s recognition of WEZAS’s capability, integrity, and commitment in managing the collection and distribution of zakat within educational institutions professionally and effectively.
